BUFF® MOUNTAIN FESTIVAL RETURNS AS THE EPICENTRE OF MOUNTAIN SPORTS

With only a few days remaining until the third edition of the BUFF® Mountain Festival, Vall de Boí is gearing up to host one of the most important events of the year. The mountain festival will bring together sport, culture, epic races and countless activities for all types of visitors.

Across three exciting days, thousands of people will be able to enjoy the natural environment of the magical Vall de Boí. From 12 to 14 July, the world’s best runners, amateur athletes and scores of families will come together at a festival created especially for mountain lovers.

The varied sports programme will be the biggest draw for all of them. The sixth edition of the BUFF® Epic Trail will attract close to 3,000 participants from 40 different countries for the four trail running distances: the 65 km (Memorial Joan Rojas), which has four ITRA points up for grabs; the 42 km (Migu Run Skyrunner World Series), a SuperSky category race with the best international skyrunners; the 26 km (Skyrunner National Series), and the 12 km – four races that will run along extraordinary routes and enchant all those who take part.

What’s more, mountain biking will be the focus of the fourth edition of the Scott Marathon Cup 2019, a race that will allow you to discover the region’s most beautiful landscapes on two wheels. And if that’s not enough, you can also enjoy other activities open to everyone, such as Nordic walking, yoga, rafting, canyoning, via ferratas, tandem paragliding and activities for children such as the MiniSkyrace, the Natura Campus and the climbing wall.

The festival is set to welcome more than 15,000 visitors who will not want to miss the wide range of incredible activities starting on Friday morning all the way through until Sunday afternoon. This makes it the most important nature and sports festival in southern Europe, attracting a great number of tourists with huge economic impact for the region.

Non-stop fun

Enjoying a weekend dedicated 100% to nature will no doubt leave its mark so why not make the most of it and also enjoy other activities, such as concerts and outdoor film screenings. Fun will be guaranteed at all times at the festival, and all this in the magical Vall de Boí.
